Hello everyone! As some of you may have noticed the site has been offline for the last couple weeks. To make a long story short my hosting package with VIUX expired and I wasn't interested in renewing it. To be fair, if there was anything my search for a new host taught me it's that VIUX is certainly not the worst host you can go with; they're just a bit pricey. After spending a few days on the hunt I signed up with 1and1 I would have to rate VIUX higher on the satisfaction scale. As it turns out 1and1 had an extreme lack of flexibility. No user defined names for anything (ftp logins, databases, etc) all in the name of security. I don't know about you guys but for me u54333456093-abc is not a convenient login to remember if I need to connect via FTP from somewhere remote. To further complicate matters they didn't allow remote access for SQL Server either and honestly, what's the point in using it at all then?
So now I'm with JodoHost and though there are still a few things I'm not 100% pleased with I think I'll settle in just fine given time. I recently added three new inked images to the gallery, all of which are part of a single master work to be completed soon, and I hope to add several more asap. I started pouring myself into learning Flash CS3 and ActionScript 3.0 a few weeks ago and while the technology is WONDERFUL and I'm having a blast learning it doesn't leave a lot of time for new art.
